Prachi Agrawal is a sculptor from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, whose artistic journey is deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of her hometown. A graduate of the College of Arts and Crafts, Lucknow, and the College of Art, New Delhi, her work explores themes of girlhood, identity, and resilience. Inspired by early visits to the Mathura Museum, her sculptures celebrate the overlooked stories of women and girls, using form and texture to evoke emotion and spark dialogue.
Her work "Mother Nature" is a mixed-media sculpture of a cow made from burnt and discarded milk packets, symbolizing how pollution harms even the most nurturing elements of nature. By repurposing everyday waste, the artwork urges viewers to reflect on their environmental impact and embrace more sustainable habits.
