ENTRY FEE

(non-refundable per category per schedule for both categories)

Professional Category – 950/-* (Rupees Nine Hundred Fifty only) per artist

Student Category – 750/-* (Rupees Seven Hundred Fifty only) per artist

Artists can apply in all categories separately.

*100/- as convenience charge is included in price. For Online registration only.
Payment will be accepted online or in form of Cash by hand DD Postal Order payable to Artscapes payable at Chandigarh.

The applicant MUST read all the terms and conditions carefully to participate in the competition cum exhibition.

Applicants will have to send 1 set of photographs of maximum 3 art works in each category (hard copy along with JPEG in CD) each printed in size of 8″x12″ (On reverse of each artwork’s photo, write details as of Name, Title, Size, Medium and Price) with the application form, Passport size self picture, self brief (not exceeding 200 words in CD) to ARTSCAPES, SCO 7, 2nd Floor, Sector 30 D, Chandigarh, 160 020 INDIA.

AWARDS

There will be a total of Eight Cash Awards.

In the category of Professionals there will be four awards
Rs. 50,000/-, 45,000/-, 40,000/-, 35,000/-  and
four awards in the category of Students, Rs. 25,000/-, 20,000/- (2 each).

For International Awardees : The prize money will be given in dollars ($). The prize money will be subject to Income Tax deductions as per Tax Laws of their respective countries.

Canvassing in any form by any artist for award/participation or approaching any member of the jury will be disqualified. It is obligatory on the part of the jury that he/she is not in any way related to the artist selected for exhibition and awards.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Only the exhibits selected out of the entries received in the entry form and ticked “for competition” will be eligible for the awards.

  • The General Council Members/Advisors/Volunteers of the Artscapes and their relatives may participate in the exhibition but will not be eligible for the award.

  • Minimum age limit for participation in exhibition is 18 years as on 1st Jan 2024.

  • All Art Works should be original creation of the artist and should have been executed on or after January 2021.

ACCEPTANCE

The application forms, photographs and entry fee will be received up to 31st January 2024, from 10:00am to 06:00pm at the office of Artscapes (Sunday closed).

Application forms can be downloaded, OR Register Online from www.artscapesindia.com. Photo copies of form are also accepted. Already awarded art works will not be accepted for the exhibition and the awards. All selected Art Works should be properly framed and be ready to display. For outstation artists it is strongly recommended that the frame should be of acrylic and not glass frame for the safe transportation of the artworks. Organizers are not responsible for the transportation of the artworks. Sculptures in fragile materials like Glass, Terracotta, Paper, Plaster of Paris or any breakable material will not be accepted. Artscapes reserves the right to change the terms & conditions. With regard to the interpretation of any rule, the decision of the organizer will be final and binding to all.

MORE INFORMATION

Once selection and confirmation is made by Artscapes. the identification slip with the name & address of the artist, title, size, medium. year of creation of the artwork should be pasted/attached properly at the backside of the work.

Maximum Size for Paintings/ Drawings/ Print Making/ Photography is 6ft. x 6ft (180×180 cms) and for Sculptures is 3ft. x 3ft. x 3ft (90x90x90 cms).

All Entries received for the 10th Annual Women Artists Exhibition 2024 would be placed before the Selection and Judging Committee for Selection and announcing the Awards.

It will be two-tier jury; the preliminary jury will shortlist the entries for show, the final jury will select the awardees. All works submitted within the criteria for selection will be judged.

The decision of the Judging Committee would be binding on the Artists and no correspondence whatsoever will be entertained by Artscapes on the subject.

On viewing actual artworks if any artwork seems unsatisfactory due to its variation from the image is submitted, Artscapes have a right to reject that particular artwork.

Name of the Judges would be published in the catalogue. Result of selection can be viewed on our website www.artscapesindia.com on January 21, 2024.

Awarded art works shall become the sole property of the organizers. Artist shall have no objection/claim to the same. Artscapes reserves the right to print images of any of the exhibits for catalogue, posters, hoarding or any other form of publicity material in website, print or electronic media.

An Authenticity Certificate in this regard shall be obtained by the organizers at the Inaugural Award Ceremony and Exhibition day.

The final exhibition will take place in Chandigarh.

The place of the exhibition will be published on the official website www.artscapesindia.com

With the registration the artist take on all responsibility for any damage of the works entrusted to Artscapes during the entire period of the competition, including delivery.

No work which has been included in the Exhibition will be allowed to be removed before the close of the exhibition. Artscapes will not be responsible for the transportation of the artwork/s. Since Artscapes is an NGO, the cost of the courier/ transportation of the artwork/s (to and fro) will be borne by the artists themselves. If the exhibits are not taken back within three months after the close of the exhibition, Artscapes shall have the right to dispose of the Exhibits in any manner it deems fit and artists will have no claim against Artscapes whatsoever.

Though Artscapes will take every possible care for the safe handling of the exhibits during custody, transit and exhibition display of the art works, but it will not be responsible for any loss or damage during display or storage. No claim in such regard will be entertained. Artists can insure the art works at their own cost themselves if they desire.

Catalogue will be published and released on the inaugural day of the Exhibition and Award Distribution Ceremony. A comprehensive certificate featuring at the selected exhibits for the show will be published and respective certificate of participation/merit/award will be given. The winning artists must submit the following documents to allow the printing of catalogue, in time for the opening day:

  • two pictures of the winning work (whole and detailed) in jpg format.

  • a photo of the artist in jpg format.

  • description of the work (300 words), including title, technique, year. etc.

  • artist’s curriculum vitae (200 words maximum)

  • All sales will be negotiated by Artscapes and Artscapes will retain 20% on all sales. The balance 80% will be paid over to the Artist concerned only after the whole of the purchased money is realized.

  • Copyright of the paintings sold by Artscapes would pass on to the buyer. For better sale, the artist should price their exhibits reasonably.

Outstation winners shall be reimbursed travel expenses of shortest distance (3rd Class AC Railway fare, to &fro) and will be provided lodging during the exhibition. Original tickets shall be required for remittance at the time of claim.

For International Awardees, only travel expenses borne in India (for the exhibition) will be remitted.
