Born in October 1971 and based in Chandigarh, this accomplished watercolor artist, creative professional, and cultural advocate has built a multifaceted career that bridges fine art, design, advertising, publishing, and heritage preservation. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Applied Arts from the Government College of Art, Chandigarh, and a Master’s degree in History of Art from the Department of Art History and Visual Arts, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

His artistic practice is deeply rooted in observation, memory, and storytelling. Working primarily in watercolor, he draws inspiration from everyday life, historic architecture, urban landscapes, and the rich cultural traditions of Punjab. His paintings are known for their fluid brushwork, atmospheric quality, and ability to capture both the physical character and emotional essence of a place. Through subtle compositions and nuanced color palettes, he transforms ordinary scenes into evocative visual narratives that reflect the passage of time and the enduring connections between people and their environments.

Alongside his work as an artist, he has enjoyed a distinguished career in the advertising and communications industry. As a Creative Director with J. Walter Thompson (JWT), one of the world’s leading advertising agencies, he led numerous branding, design, and communication projects. His experience in advertising sharpened his understanding of visual storytelling, audience engagement, and the power of imagery elements that continue to inform his artistic practice.

Currently serving as Outreach Director at the Panjab Digital Library, he works at the intersection of culture, design, and public engagement. His contributions include the development of exhibitions, coffee-table books, publications, branding initiatives, and outreach programs dedicated to preserving and promoting Punjab’s literary, artistic, and historical heritage.

Whether painting in watercolor, designing publications, or curating cultural projects, his work is guided by a commitment to preserving meaningful stories.
