A Gurugram based studio potter, this artist’s practice is deeply inspired by nature, travel, and the transformative qualities of clay. After a successful corporate career, she chose to pursue ceramics full-time, undertaking formal training at The Cold Mountain Studio, Dharamshala, followed by advanced learning at Studio RE4Clay. Today, she works from her studio, Shambhala Art, and presents her ceramic creations under the brand म Palette.
Her artistic approach combines both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, with a particular focus on stoneware clay. Through pinching, slab construction, coiling, and wheel work, she creates pieces that celebrate organic forms, tactile surfaces, and the subtle imperfections that make each object unique. The process of working with clay is central to her practice, serving as a meditative exploration of material, texture, and form.
Over the years, she has expanded her technical knowledge through specialized workshops in thermal shock firing, Saggar, Pit, Raku and Obvara firing, mould making, architectural forms, and experimental surface treatments. These experiences have enriched her understanding of ceramics while allowing her to develop a distinctive visual language rooted in both contemporary design and natural inspiration.
Her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between functionality and artistic expression, resulting in ceramics that are both sculptural and intimate. Each piece embodies a sense of mindfulness, inviting viewers to engage with the materiality and quiet beauty of handcrafted objects.
She has showcased her work at several exhibitions and pop-up events, including Bikaner House, Museo Camera, Triveni Kala Sangam’s CeraFest, Studio RE4Clay’s Ceramic Diwali Pop-Up, and exhibitions organized through Shambhala Art. Through her evolving ceramic practice, she continues to explore the limitless possibilities of clay as a medium for creativity, reflection, and connection.
