Born in 1967 and based in Delhi, this multidisciplinary artist has built a distinguished career as a painter, sculptor, educator, and cultural practitioner. Raised in a family of artists, he inherited a deep appreciation for creativity from both his father and grandfather, who were respected artists of their time.
A graduate in Visual and Performing Arts (BFA) from the College of Art, New Delhi, he further pursued Art Appreciation studies at the National Museum, New Delhi. His artistic journey began early, combining a passion for drawing, sculpture, and music. He started learning the tabla at the age of four and simultaneously explored clay modelling, developing a lifelong engagement with diverse forms of artistic expression.
During his college years, he established a successful advertising agency specializing in design, printing, posters, and outdoor publicity. After years in the creative industry, he dedicated himself fully to artistic practice and education. Today, he runs Kalakriti School of Art & Culture (KSAC) in Delhi, where he teaches painting, sculpture, graphic design, and visual arts, mentoring numerous students who have gone on to establish successful careers in the field.
His creative practice spans painting, sculpture, graphic design, and visual communication, reflecting a commitment to both artistic excellence and knowledge sharing. He has also served as a Visiting Lecturer at the College of Art, New Delhi, and Amity University, Noida.
Among his notable recognitions is the prestigious National Award Raja Ravi Varma Chitrakar Samman Award, acknowledging his significant contribution to the field of art. For him, however, the greatest achievement remains the appreciation of his work and the success of his students.
Through his continued engagement with art, music, and education, he remains dedicated to inspiring creativity, nurturing talent, and promoting the importance of artistic expression in contemporary society.
