Bhiwani, Haryana I India
An accomplished and versatile Indian artist, he has nurtured a deep bond with colors and brushes since childhood. Growing up in the small town of Bhiwani in Haryana, his early fascination with art eventually led him to formal training at the Government College of Arts, Chandigarh, under Punjab University. This foundation helped refine his skills and shape a distinctive artistic language that continues to evolve even after more than forty-five years of creative pursuit.
A true multidisciplinary practitioner, he works across painting, sculpture, digital art, and installation, exploring diverse mediums with equal passion. His practice reflects an engaging blend of tradition and contemporary expression, often drawing from cultural memory, human experience, and visual experimentation. Over the decades, his artworks have been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions across India and abroad, affirming his active and enduring presence in the art world. Participation in national art camps and workshops further demonstrates his commitment to artistic exchange and continuous growth.
His contributions have been acknowledged through several awards and honours, including the prestigious Senior Fellowship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Ministry of Culture, Government of India. This recognition reflects not only his artistic merit but also his dedication to preserving cultural heritage.
His interest in documenting disappearing art forms led him to author the coffee table book Wall Paintings—The Vanishing Treasure, a significant work highlighting the fading tradition of mural art in India. He also produced a documentary on the same subject, extending his efforts to safeguard this fragile legacy.
Even after decades of creative exploration, he continues his artistic journey with undiminished enthusiasm, constantly seeking new ways to express, innovate, and inspire.
