The joint third prize-winner Shalini Singh (Such) hails from Lucknow, UP, and was born in 1985. She completed her schooling from Bue Bells Inter-college, BFA from the College of Art and Craft, Lucknow University and later post-graduation from the same university. As of now, she is pursuing a Ph.D., is freelancing and lives in Baroda. She has received the State Award of Lalit Kala Academy, UP. She has participated in AIFACS, New Delhi, 2011, Art Life Gallery, Noida, 2012, Mask International Art Show at Ravindra Bhavan, New Delhi, 2012 among others. Shalini works with various mediums and considers art as an extension of one’s inner self.
