Rahul Dhiman is a Chandigarh-based visual and performing artist with over 15 years of dedicated practice. He earned his BFA (2012) and MFA (2014) from the Government College of Art, Chandigarh,
Panjab University, and completed his Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Kurukshetra University in 2022.

Rahul’s artistic journey draws deeply from his personal experiences and surroundings. His works reflect the emotions, atmosphere, and transitions he encounters in daily life, blending conscious and subconscious perceptions. His recent series, “Expressions of 2020,” captures the emotional intensity and uncertainty of the pandemic period through evocative portraits that mirror collective human endurance and hope.

With a prolific career spanning visual and performing arts, Rahul has participated in over 200 art exhibitions at state, national, and international levels across countries including Australia, Japan, China, Germany, Turkey, Romania, and Mexico. He has also attended 38 art workshops and camps and held four solo shows in Bhopal, Chandigarh, and Amritsar. His work has earned 48 national, state, and institutional awards, including honors from the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, AIFACS (New Delhi), and the Bombay Art Society (Mumbai). He received the Junior Fellowship (2020–22) and the Young Artist National Scholarship (2014–15) from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Beyond exhibitions, Rahul actively promotes art education through school printmaking workshops and summer art programs organized by Chandigarh Tourism and the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi. In
2023, he represented Chandigarh at the G-20 Summit, creating over 200 artworks gifted to international delegates.

As a performing artist, Rahul has achieved acclaim in Punjabi folk dance and theatre, representing India and Punjab at numerous national and international festivals, including ICCR Bhutan (2015), Republic Day Parade (2019), and Bharat Parv at Red Fort (2023).

Committed to both visual and performing arts, Rahul Dhiman continues to contribute passionately to the promotion and preservation of India’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.
