Born on 6 July 1955 in Chandigarh, Prabhinder Lall is a senior contemporary artist known for his mastery in Applied Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, and Photography. A graduate of the Government College of Art, Panjab University (1979), he brings over 30 years of combined professional and academic experience to his artistic practice.
Throughout his distinguished career, Lall has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including the National Exhibitions of Art (New Delhi), 9th International Biennale (Beijing, China, 2022), FIAG International Art Festival (South Korea, 2023), and The Reason to Exist (Australia, 2016). His art has also been featured in exhibitions and symposiums across Malaysia, Turkey, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, and Mauritius, reflecting his global artistic engagement.
Lall’s creative excellence has earned him several state, national, and international awards, including the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi Awards, All India AIFACS Awards, and the prestigious Senior Fellowship in Visual Arts from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India (2012–13). In 2024, he received the Punjab State Award (Professional Artists Category).
His works are part of esteemed collections, including the Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, Himachal State Museum, Nepal Art Council, and international institutions in Turkey and Mauritius.
A member of the Asian Art Association, Singapore, Lall continues to represent India on global platforms, most recently at the Aswara International Art & Culture Camp (Malaysia, 2025).
