About the Exhibition

Since its founding in 2011 in Chandigarh, Artscapes has championed women’s voices in the visual arts. More than an exhibition platform, we seek to break down barriers, expand visibility, and nurture a creative community where women artists can experiment, express, and flourish.

Over the years, the Women Artists’ Exhibition has grown in scope, drawing diverse practices, geographies, and narratives. It has established itself as a major event on India’s art calendar, where contemporary, folk, and experimental works coexist and converse.

The Competition & Exhibition

The 12th Annual Women Artists’ Competition & Exhibition 2026 invites women artists from across the world to submit original works. We welcome submissions in painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and ceramics, as well as mixed media and installation (within category limits).

Selected works will be exhibited in March 2026 in Chandigarh. A fully illustrated catalogue will be published, featuring photographs and details of all exhibited works, along with artist statements of the awarded entries and jury commentary.
