Born in 1976 in Moga, Punjab, and currently based in Nayagaon (District Mohali) near Chandigarh, this freelance artist brings over eighteen years of dedicated practice to the field of contemporary art. A graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the Government College of Art, Chandigarh, his academic foundation continues to inform a disciplined yet expressive visual language.

Working across watercolour, acrylic, and oil painting, his practice is deeply rooted in observation, sensitivity, and emotional engagement with the subject. Primarily recognized for his evocative watercolours on paper, his work revolves around portraiture and landscape. His portraits strive to capture the inner essence and individuality of his subjects, while his landscapes reflect the nuanced moods of nature through fluid transitions of light and colour.

His works have been exhibited widely in India and internationally, including solo exhibitions at the Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh, and the Sobha Singh Art Gallery, Punjab Kala Bhawan. Internationally, he has exhibited in Auckland, New Zealand, and participated in significant group exhibitions, including the IWS Biennale at AIFACS, New Delhi. His artworks are part of private collections across India and abroad, including the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Norway, and Dubai.

A recipient of several awards such as the M.S. Randhawa Award, his practice reflects sustained dedication and growth. Alongside his studio work, he actively mentors students, guiding them for entrance into leading art institutions.

For him, art remains a deeply personal and spiritual journey, an expression of feeling, observation, and connection with the world around.
