Uday Chand Goswami

Bhopal I Madhya Pradesh, India

Born in September 1983 in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, and currently based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, this contemporary artist explores the mysterious vitality of life through evocative biomorphic forms and layered visual metaphors. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Painting in 2007 and Master’s degree in Painting in 2009 from the Government Institute of Fine Arts, Gwalior, and presently works as a freelance artist.

Rooted in an intense observation of nature and existence, his artistic philosophy revolves around the idea of life force, an invisible yet powerful energy that animates all living beings. Seeds, sprouts, organic growth, and regenerative forms emerge repeatedly within his paintings, symbolising transformation, renewal, and the continuity of life. Through temperate colours, textured surfaces, and fluid compositions, his works reflect both the fragility and resilience inherent in nature’s cycle.

His visual language often combines sensuality with spirituality. Organic forms appear simultaneously as seeds, fruits, underwater organisms, and human anatomy, creating layered associations between fertility, growth, and consciousness. These forms inhabit dreamlike spaces that resemble a contemporary Garden of Eden lush, mysterious, and charged with symbolic energy. The recurring imagery of germination and blossoming becomes a metaphor for personal evolution and the courage required for transformation.

Working primarily in mixed media on large and medium-scale canvases, he constructs immersive compositions where vibrant contrasts and carefully balanced textures evoke a pulsating sense of life. His works suggest that beauty and renewal persist despite uncertainty and change, offering an optimistic reflection on human existence and the future.

Deeply inspired by the rhythms of nature, his practice invites viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of all forms of life. Through contemplative and emotionally resonant imagery, he creates visual experiences that celebrate growth, sensuality, and the enduring power of transformation, reminding us that life and beauty continually find new ways to emerge.
