Born on 8 January 1990 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Ekta Sharma is a contemporary artist whose work bridges the seen and unseen, exploring the deep connection between humanity and the cosmos. She holds both BFA and MFA in Painting from the Government Institute of Fine Arts, Gwalior.
Over the years, Ekta has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including the International Art and Photography Festival (Mumbai), The Nature and the Abstracts (Pune), Madhyama (Raza Foundation, New Delhi), Art Alliance (Bhopal), and Ananta (Sydney, Australia). Her art has been showcased in platforms such as the Kalakriti Art Gallery (Hyderabad) and the Alliance Française Gallery (Bhopal).
Her creative journey has also taken her to art camps and residencies across India, including Auroville (Tamil Nadu), Lalit Kala Akademi Camp (Assam), and Kalakriti Art Residence (Hyderabad). Internationally, she represented India at the 22nd Art Symposium in Serbia.
Ekta’s works have earned her multiple awards and recognitions, such as the Madhya Pradesh State Roopankar Kala Award (Khajuraho), Artscapes Merit Award (Chandigarh), and honors from Kala Academy, Bhopal.
Her latest dual show, “A Soulful Dialogue with the Universe” (2025), reflects her belief that art is a spiritual conversation between the self and the cosmos. Through vibrant energy and meditative depth, her paintings reveal the rhythm of existence — from the play of sunlight through trees to the mysteries of the universe itself.
