Priyanshu Chaurasia is a visual artist and freelance printmaker based in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. She works with printmaking and installations using recycled and waste materials. She completed her BFA from Banaras Hindu University, followed by MFAs in Graphic Arts (Jamia Millia Islamia) and Painting (Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya), where she received a Gold Medal. Her work focuses on nature, especially trees, and promotes sustainability through creative reuse. Priyanshu has exhibited widely across India and continues to explore themes of life, environment, and renewal through her art.

In her artwork Trash Everywhere, Priyanshu Chaurasia presents a dry, lifeless tree as a symbol of environmental decay and the disruption of nature’s balance caused by human activity. Surrounding the tree are abstract shapes representing scattered trash and waste, reflecting the pollution that now pervades natural spaces—on roads, in rivers, and near forests. A distorted reflection of the tree emphasizes how environmental harm not only damages nature but also alters its identity and image.
