When Artscapes moved out of Chandigarh, it provided a unique platform to identify, recognize and promote talented artists in Ludhiana as well as the entire state of Punjab in association with The Times of India and Ireo Waterfront. We launched Ludhiana Art Beat (LAB), a mega-event, where thirty shortlisted finalists got a chance to exhibit their work. There was also a live workshop conducted by a celebrity artist followed by a lecture.

The guest at the inauguration ceremony was eminent artist Kalicharan Gupta, whose works mostly deal with urban life and landscape. He also held a one-day workshop for budding artists and shared valuable tips with them the next day. The event was a grand success and another feather in the cap of Artscapes, as artists of tomorrow learnt nuances of this complex field from the best in the field.
